![]() Master, though, sits at the other end of the scale, significantly ramping up the challenge for seasoned players seeking to take things to the next level. It'll make the experience "more forgiving but still challenging", by increasing player health, making ageing more forgiving, and introducing weaker enemies with less aggressive AI that use simplified combos. Student, however, is designed for those wanting a slightly easier ride. Disciple, for instance, will offer the "classic Sifu experience", and it's the option for those that want to continue playing the game as it is now. Wish the team would have been allowed to make more. We've known developer Sloclap's challenging kung-fu beat-'em-up Sifu would be getting much-requested difficulty settings for some time, but now, following the release of a new content roadmap earlier this week, Sloclap has offered a closer look at how they'll function when they arrive in a new update next Tuesday, 3rd May.Īs we learned earlier this week, Sifu's new difficulty levels will come in three flavours - Student, Disciple, and Master - and Sloclap's latest preview trailer breaks each setting down in a little more detail. Definitely the best open world game in a "modern" city I've ever played and the only one I've ever completed all the way! Its crazy to me too that it was almost canceled, it has no right to be as good as it is with such a troubled development. Yay I'm glad you've played Sleeping Dogs! I LOVE that game. I started to finally play them in the lead up to 3 but when it came out and was seemingly universally panned I sort of lost the zest to finish 1 and 2 :( ![]() I still need to play through those games though. Oh yes, there's a lot of Shenmue in Yakuza for sure. You never know what you're gonna run into haha. The side content is amazing!! I haven't put a whole lot of time into the mini games but I just love the writing of the side quests. Heck, I even got those old Cats and Dogz point and click games working for my girlfriend, games that were made for way old versions of Windows. As long as it's not a multiplayer focused game that needs anti cheat, Ive been able to get every game I've wanted to play working on it, modern games and all kinds of emulates ones too. The list of things it can do is just mindboggling. Switch made it so I never wanted to go back to non portable systems and Steam Deck cemented it for me. Sleeping Dogs was easily better than anything previous in the True Crime series. Sifu is definitely more involved combat wise, but it's bonkers that it was originally canceled. It was originally part of the True Crime series, and I think it was canceled by Activision before SquareEnix bought the rights? Oh yeah, Sleeping Dogs was dope! Great time with that. I was a SEGA kid growing up, so Shenmue was a big deal, and the Yakuza games, while very different in tone, very much felt like an evolution of what Shenmue was trying to do. I really love those silly side games that are surprisingly pretty deep, considering its basically filler side stuff. Getting to play as Majima was great! Funnily, probably my favorite side activity was running the hostess club, lol. Yakuza 0 is so good! Definitely one of, if not, my favorite in the series. I don't do much on PC anymore, but that would definitely persuade me! Steam Deck is the way to go! Portable and full screen, like switch, but probably on par, or better, than ps4, I'm guessing? If they do an oled SD with a bigger battery, I'll definitely jump into that.
